We invite you to join us for 5 days of creative explorations in Bhakti yoga, the yoga of love and devotion.

This retreat embarks on an expansive journey into this ancient and timeless spiritual tradition of Bhakti through music, dance, poetry, art, besides daily yoga, pranayama and meditation sessions. Bhakti Yoga philosophy and mysticism taught in this retreat can enhance your yoga practice to live a life with a more creative expression of love.

This retreat includes chanting of Sanskrit mantras, stories of Hindu Gods and Goddesses, creating flower mandalas and spiritual art. Exclusive workshops on Bhajans (singing) and Kirtans (ecstatic dancing) are the highlights of this yoga retreat.  An optional visit to a local Shiva temple is also a part of this experience.

The lead yoga teachers, Tiana and Adam from Canada, have been a long term practitioners of Bhakti Flow and Ecstatic Dance. Adam completed both 200 and 300 hours Advanced Yoga Teacher Training at AyurYoga Eco-Ashram. Adam and Tiana are sharing this unique artistic yoga retreat with yogis coming to the ashram as a labour of love.

Who Can Come to Bhakti Yoga & Art Retreat?

Anybody with an interest in Bhakti yoga, mantras and Kirtan, art, meditation, and personal growth are welcome at this retreat. No prior knowledge or experience in Bhakti, singing, dancing, art, or meditation are required to enjoy this program. Long-time practitioners of Bhakti will also find inspiration and new avenues of expression and inspiration, and are encouraged to bring their knowledge and gifts, as well. Please note that this retreat is not designed to give you a specific mantra, deity, or dogma to follow. Every belief system is welcome and will be respected as we open our hearts together.

Daily Schedule:

  • 06:00 – 06:30 am: Mantra Meditation
  • 06:30 – 07:00 am:  Hot Lemon Ginger Drink
  • 07:00 – 09:00 am:  Hatha Yoga and Pranayama with ashram teachers
  • 09:00 – 10:00 am:  Brunch
  • 10:30 am – 12:30 pm: Bhakti Yoga Workshops
  • 1:00 – 2:00 pm: Fruit & Snack Lunch
  • 2:00 – 3:30 pm: Rest
  • 3.00 – 5.30 pm: Creative Art Workshop
  • 6.00 – 7:00 pm:  Kirtan
  • 7:00 – 8:00 pm: Dinner
  • 8:00 – 9:00 pm: Video Show/movies related to Bhakti yoga

What do I learn in this Bhakti Yoga Retreat?

During this Bhakti Yoga Retreat you will be immersed in the practices of devotional yoga, motivated by the longing of our hearts to connect with the divine in everything and everyone. Through daily speciality workshops and classes lead by Adam and Tiana, you will learn the various components of Bhakti yoga path. By the end of this Bhakti Yoga Retreat, you will have a renewed sense of inspiration to bring more creativity and love into your yoga practice and life at large, and you will be connect with number of devotional communities around the world.

About Lead Teachers:

Tiana Prince

Bhakti Yoga Retreat Bhakti TeacherTiana is an ever-curious, passionate, and adventurous student and teacher of yoga who fell in love with Bhakti Yoga during a nightly kirtan at her first yoga teacher training. The mood of longing for the Beloved took up residence in her heart, guiding Tiana to continue to explore the path of devotion, which lead her to live and volunteer at a Bhakti Yoga ashram in France, to complete her 300-hour yoga teacher training in Bhakti Yoga, and to travel to India and around the world to continue to learn about and share Bhakti yoga.

Teaching yoga since 2018 and Yoga Teacher Trainings since 2021, Tiana is also a certified school teacher (Bachelor of Education: Artist in Community Education from Queen’s University, Canada) specializing in Drama, Language, and Religion, as well as a certified dance teacher (British Association of Teachers of Dancing). She draws from her extensive background and experience in teaching, theatre, and dance to curate unique, creative, and educational yoga classes, workshops, and trainings. She loves language and poetry, and finds endless inspiration and joy in nature.

A graduate of Audrey Sarquilla’s 300-hour Bhakti Academy and Yandara Yoga Institute’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, Tiana is an ongoing student of Bhakti Yoga, Hindu Mythology, and Tantric Philosophy. She organizes international women’s retreats with her company Salisa Retreats, and has taught several intensive 200-hour YTTS at Moksha Yoga Amazónica in Peru. Tiana is deeply grateful and thrilled to be leading this Bhakti Yoga & Art Retreat and can’t wait to sing and dance along the path of the heart with you!

Adam Duke

Adam is a Hatha Yoga Teacher (EYRT 500), meditation instructor and an established visual artist who has integrated his passions for visual arts and yoga science into a unique path. He specializes in bright contemporary pieces and mandalas. He has countless pieces and murals across the globe. He has traveled the world teaching and sharing his artistic gifts in workshops and retreats. Approaching art as an expression of the self, his playful and patient teaching style allows everyone to release their inner creativity and see artistic and creative expression as a dynamic meditation.

Adam has been teaching “Manadals as Meditation” workshops in several yoga retreats around the world: Casa Anyi in Mexico,  Salisa Retreats in Europe, La Choza Del Mundo Retreats, Costa Rica, Children’s Yoga & Art day camps at Big Brothers Big Sisters, Bowmanville Gymnastics Club, both places in Canada. Adam also offers healing meditation workshops for rehabilitation centers and hospice programs (Gateway Recovery Program, VON Durham Hospices, both places in Canada. Alongside his long list of teaching yoga classes, retreats and yoga teacher trainings, he teaches the youth, elderly students, parents, corporate and private audiences.

Adam is also currently teaching Yoga Classes and leading Bhajans for Yoga Teacher Trainings at AyurYoga Eco-Ashram, Mysore, India.

Arrival & Departure

  • Check-in: After 12:00 noon on the start date. Orientation will be at 4:00 pm.
  • Check-Out: By 12:00 noon on the end date. Farewell brunch included.
  • Additional days of Stay: You are welcome to stay before or after the retreat by paying an additional charge of $50/day. This price includes all meals and drinks. If a yoga and meditation class is being offered, you’re welcome to join.
